VV N-130

I have a buddy that told me he recently ordered a new Savage 10MLII. He wants to shoot the barnes 300 gr original. I told him that I like N120 with that bullet. Heres the rub. He has a full can of N130 that he bought for another project, that he did not use, and he prefers to use that. Now personally I think it is quite possible that we can work up a decent load with that powder even though it is on the slow side for a 300 gr bullet, and I still think the N120 would be better. My question is, have any of you done any work with N-130? Thanks Rman

I have but can't go into it on this board. I plan on trying it in my SMI with 300g bullets. If I were to use it in my Sav , I'd start at between 70-75g with 300g bullet. I suspect it would be better for slightly heavier bullets. JMO
