That custom rifle is beautiful. How well does that twist work in that rifle with roundball? I bet real well.

I shoot a .535 swaged Speer or Hornady ball with a .020" Ox-Yoke patch and Wonder Lube and with 80 grns of Goex it will do under 2" at 50 yds all day. I can't see open sights as well as I could 20 years ago, but this rifle's long barrel does get the front sight out where I can see it half decent. And the barrel has round-bottom rifling that cleans up real easy. The rifle is a lot of fun to shoot and to hunt with.

Well, I am not chasing whitetails any longer but I took my TC Omega .50 for elk. I use 85 gr by weight of BH209, a 300 gr SST in a Harvester black smooth sabot, kicked off by a Win 209 primer. I shot my little 5x5 bull at 75 yards and he only went 50 yards before giving up the ghost. I am taking the same setup out for mule deer this weekend.

I'm new here so no need to get all excited about what I have to share, but this load worked just fine yesterday.
