Took the Thunder Hawk out today. 26 degrees... Set up the chrono and got quite a shock. Velocities ran from 1530 to 1577 fps. The same load, 250 gr 45 caliber XTP, Harvester crush rib and 70 gr 3f Swiss, in my 26 inch Black Diamond makes 1600. That's with 4 more inches of barrel! Good stuff that Swiss 3f.
Accuracy was excellent. Open sights at 50 gave groups from 1 3/16 to 13/16. 3 rounds, alcohol swabs between shots.
She must be a different TC because the crush ribs load a little loose. Might go to regular Harvesters.
However. I did notice one of the lands has a defect. Its a little crescent shape void(?) on the lee edge about 1/8 inch back from the crown. Its about 1/4 inch long. Doesn't foul and accuracy is certainly acceptable. But its unfortunate none the less.
The sights are small and hard for me to use. Improvements to come, but I'm quite happy with my newest frontstuffer.
