Has anybody tried the 260 grain nosler/winchester partition gold bullet (.45 cal - .451" diameter) in their 50 cal. muzzleloader? This is the same bullet winchester uses in their 20 gauge partition gold slugs.

Yeah I'ved used them. I had a SS Wolverine 209 that shot them great with fffg Triple Se7en. I shot one buck with 'em and they of course worked perfectly!

I have used the Nosler .451/260 for 7 years now... it is the perfect bullet for deer from 25 to 175 yards ( that is as far as i have shot it a big game) For elk I do switch to the Nosler .458/300 grain partition...

My only complaint - expensive - but for me and peice of mind well worth it.
