Did you decide on a ramrod? I found most did not work as well as I liked with button jags. The rod was a tiny bit larger than the jag so patches ended up wrapped over onto the rod tip. I ended up using the "Cleaning" jags as they have a tapered section just behind the jag and let the patch have a place to go. Just a side note, the Rod I made from a carbon arrow worked great so far and don't weigh anything. :D

These are the jags I ended up using and work very well, they are concave so work well for loading too. They are longer so need to account for it in the length of the rod.

These did not work well on the aluminum rods I bought. They work just fine on a 22 to 26 cal rifle cleaning rod like my Dewey.

I had an old piece of fibreglass rod. I turned down some old ends I had, pined them with epoxy then coated it along with the rifle. I thought about a carbon arrow shaft, but I knew I had this rod.

I've been getting emails saying they were now giving 40% off and 15% on guns. :huh?: I plan to stop by the Store in Chambersburg PA next Saturday on my way to Ohio. Rarely buy much due to prices but it is about the right place for a pit Stop.

Yeah, I got them too. The "40% off" is only on select stuff - like very select. Like random shoes and tshirts, etc. Even 30% off is not on much in the store that I saw.
Most of the hunting/fishing stuff is 10-20% off. Optics are 15%, guns were 5%. BP stuff was 20%. This was at my store. I was at another local store yesterday... Pyro was cheaper there at regular price, than the Gander price after 20% off.
