They don't say when the gator was killed and they don't give an actual measurement. The Lightsey family is famous/infamous for doing canned hunts. They own Brahma Island in the middle of Lake Kissimmee.

Don't know how I feel about killing that gator. :Questuon:

Ray..............

Just my opinion gents...............

Ray, there's approximately 2 million of them in Florida. No one will miss it around here.

However, it states that it's a gator "killed in the wild." Gator season doesn't open until late summer. If this kill is recent, it is either illegal or is a gator on a licensed gator farm.

About 15-20 years ago the Lightseys got in trouble with a canned hunt for an African lion. They had it in a cage hidden in a thick patch of palmettoes; they released it remotely when the sap "hunter" got close. It was a zoo animal and it just strolled out and looked around. The rich guy from Miami shot it and paid several thousand dollars for his "hunt".
