We filled our tags on November 14th, the morning of day 8 of a 9 day season. A couple of nice cows, both taken with Remington 700's. 385gr Plains bullets and 110gr of Goex 2F. I shot from 165 yards and have never shot that far. I held right on and as I was walking out to find the animal, it struck me that maybe I should have aimed a little high. I'm sighted in at 2" high at 100. The Elk went about 20 yards and tipped over. Mine hung at 337lbs and I got 206 lbs of boneless meat. It was a great day that I'll not soon forget. My Tacoma has a 5'bed.
