CVA Paramount Htr .45 long shot

On our way back from Northwest Missouri Outfitters after a great late season. So I’m a Knight guy but I needed a long distance muzzleloader and due to a defect I wasn’t able get my new peregrine ready. I took my htr and on the last day I shot a big doe at 420 yards. Farthest shot ever on a animal and I’m pretty proud lol I’m far from a amateur but I’m certainly not a world champ or anything. Just a guy who likes to reach out there and test the limits. I started shooting competition this year and I wanted to see what these new bang sticks were capable of. I’m blown away, I held 35 inches of elevation and 12 inches of wind. Right in the lung, she dropped. I was shooting the power belt elr 285 with a 105 grain charge ( by weight ) of bh209. They said I hold the muzzleloader record now at that lodge lol pretty proud. Hope everyone had a great season!

Here’s pics from the hunt lol I passed on that buck. He was at 74 yards and he was only about a 115. I didn’t take pics of the doe although i dam sure wish I would’ve lol I was so amped and it was at 5:36 and the guide showed up to load her. It was a great lodge!!!

I'm very satisfied with my Paramount .45 that I got in the fall of 2020. Shooting off my bench I can consistently hit an 8" bullseye at 400 yard target with 100grs of Blackhorn(by weight) and the Powerbelt ELR 285 bullets and a Minox 3-15X50 ZA5 scope. I've killed 3 deer with it since I got it, longest shot was 200 yds, and the bullet performed as they should in all cases. I have had no problems with it at all.

Outstanding! NIce job, congrats. I enjoyed hearin about a Knight guy havin to use a CVA due to a defect to get it done too. Its a shame that either have any issues with them really. Some of the new CVA's have too unfortunately. Glad to hear yours is shooting splendidly.
