Very nice...man I wish I had that snow to hunt with here in N IL. Nothing but 40/50 degree temps to work with at the moment.

Congrats on your buck and the shot. Hell of a shot by the way. You are definitely in BIG BUCK country.

I hunted in Maine a few times and it always amazed me the size of the deer up there. We get a rare 250 lb deer in NY but until you see a deer going over 300 lbs , the size is mind boggling. I happened to stop for gas at a weigh station on one trip. The leader board showed the weights and it blew me away. Just as we were leaving, a pickup truck pulled in with a deer that looked more like an elk to me. The largest eight point I have ever seen. I have a 35 mm picture somewhere if this deer. We had to leave before they weighed it. The wildlife officers were interviewing the guy and pulling a lower jaw for research.
