The older of my two Renegade .50 flintlocks.
Aperture sight, 50 yards and my usual load, a 250 grain .45 cal. Hornady XTP in a Harvester crush rib sabot over 70 grains of 3f Swiss Holy Black.
Left my pan primer home... Sacrificed one charge for prime. Today is malaria swamp humid and the 3f prime was superb. I noticed no difference in ignition compared to 4f.
It's so humid, the pan was wet between shots!
The first two shots in the third group were me canting the rifle. Very consistently, but canting nonetheless.
Grrrr...
The upper hole is actually 2 shots. First of the second group and last of the third.
I'm very happy that my flintlock skills are coming along.
The LORD is gracious to the poor, demented, frustrated flintlocker!
