Are them black drum fillets any good eating?
Its been well over 30yrs since I ate a piece of black drum caught in the Chesapeake Bay. I had always heard that it tastes " clammy " bc they eat a lot of them. That was my impression of them. The one I caught had worms, so it got tossed into the woods & the last one A/C caught got left out all night by accident & had to be tossed into the woods. The critters have not complained about them at all.

I haven't caught one that big in years. Nice grab. Always enjoyed eating them too as long as I wasn't the one cleaning them. I know of the process but never got good at it so I could never eat them without worrying about a y bone in the back of throat for a week.
