Hi, I've been hunting with a cap lock hawkins replica for about three years. I borrowed it from a friend of mine, who said that I could use it until I was able to purchase my own. I just recently bought a CVA Buckhorn in-line muzzleloader. I'm looking forward to getting new ideas and instruction from this forum.

Welcome to the forum. It is good to have you here.

That CVA Buckhorn Magnum is like my CVA Staghorn Magnum. In fact it replaced my rifle. If the barrels are alike, then try 90 grains of Pyrodex RS loose powder and about anything for a projectile. Mine shoots powerbelts, 240 & 300 grain XTP's, and Shockwaves. I am sure you will find it a good rifle for getting into the sport.
