Sure is. Probably over 200 pounds.

That hog is wide and weighs around 275 pounds. He's a young hog too. The boar was with a sounder of large sows.

There’s a lot of good meat on him. When can you hunt them?

When can you hunt them?

OK residents are allowed to hunt hogs 365 days a year on private property. Property owners hunt hogs at night with a permit.

Went out there last evening, stayed until 8:45 but nothing came in.

Hogs are starting to show up again near my house. I saw one the other morning on my way to the motor vehicle office and the day before, my neighbor shot at one in the back of his place.

Heres another one taken with a muzzy. Last chance “power drive” on the way back from a whitetail hunt. He crossed the road in front of us, I bailed out of the buggy, grabbed my biddies rifle and took a shot on the run. What a blast!

Nice! I've never hunted hogs, but it sounds like lots of fun. I'm guessing that a good wild one can be great eating? Probably leaner and drier but a lot more flavorful than the grocery store variety of pork?

People around here love it or hate it.
The smaller ones are best eating.

IMO, hunting hogs is more fun than deer cause you can shoot as many as ya want down here! And the smallish ones ( I call em football pigs <50 lbs) are excellent eating! Also take them to my local Mexican restaurant and the owner there makes me pork tamales! Like you‘ve died and gone to heaven good eatin…..
