Just bought my son a 45 cal Seneca

I just bought my son a 45 cal Seneca that we intend to shoot 4-H with. He is ten and has been shooting a T/C Hawken 45 that my dad built, but it is too heavy for him to shoot without shooting sticks. The Seneca came with fiber optic sights, but I would prefer the original sights or even a tang peep sight. I know the tang peep sights are hard to come by, but I would not think the regular rear and front sights would be. Does anyone know where I could get the sights?

Check ebay under gun parts-rifle- muzzleloader. You will find what you need. Be cautious of the pricing, some are waaay too high. Do you have a local gun shop in your area? Sometimes they have older parts,sights etc.

Can you tell me what size the Flat is? I am sure I can find you a rear sight that will work.
