I have a Green Mountain Long Range Hunter barrel in. 50 caliber.
To be slugged when the barrel is shortened to Scout Rifle length, hopefully sometime soon.
Shooting bullets, as opposed to patched balls is totally new to me.
In all likelihood I will end up with an Accurate Molds iron mold somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-325 grains, cast in pure lead, with a big fat wide meplat.
What do I need to know about lubrisizing the bullets? Brand of sizer. Size of the die to keep the bullet on top of the powder charge during strenuous activity? Type of lubricant? Brand of lubricant?
And, anything I haven't thought of 'cause I don't know squat about shooting bullets?
Thanks,
Bruce
