So if you are from Michigan especially the southern portion of the state in zone 3 you are aware that we have not had a true muzzleloader season in the last 2 years for whitetail. Now they allow the use of any firearms legal during the standard firearm season….am I the only one this irritates? It used to be great hunting for those of us who “put in the extra work” as in using a muzzleloader…especially on state land..the woods used to calm down..the deer kinda got back to a routine..it made for some pretty darn good hunting. The last 2 seasons the deer have been “on the run” so to speak from November 15th to mid December..don’t get me wrong I love my Ithaca slug guns and my ruger m77 chambered in 450 bushmaster..but I loved being In the woods during the our muzzleloader season a lot more…would a petition to the DNR be worth it? They seem to be all about the $$ so I doubt it…it sure would be nice to have a season back
