If the action now closes, and you can cock the hammer, you have completed the use of the tool. If you can't close the action, or cock the hammer, more tightening is required. Like Scott wrote, the plug seals on the nose, thus tape isn't required, but it wouldn't hurt to use a light oil, to make things 'smoother'.

Good to know. The action closes but I did not cock the hammer. When I get home I will check that. Thanks!
