Your gonna love it Ed! The 530 RB is super accurate in mine, open sights to. I will never put a scope on my sidelocks!

What load are you using? I know IdahoLewis used 80gr of Swiss 2F and a 50cal patch.

I just used 60 gr.of T7 2fg. At 60 yds I could put them in one hole. If I was to hunt with it 80 gr.would be a good start to reach out farther.

All my sidelocks have scopes @73 I got the last one done (ALL 8)) and last week a Malcolm 6x replaced Lee Shavers venier/globe set up on my 74 / Ed

I passed 75 three years ago and, like michiganmuzzy, plenty old enough to not worry about offending people.

I have three scoped sidelocks. I grab one of them when I'm likely to be shooting game out as far as 150 yards. All my other sidelocks have peep sights. I limit shots at game with them to 75 yards or so. I can do pretty well with the peeps at the longer distances on targets (when I have plenty of time for a good sight picture) but don't trust myself with them for shots on living critters.

Oh Oh, I'll turn 73 in July. I hope I have a couple more years that I don't have to mount a scope on it. Any suggestions?
