Omega Barrels

Has anyone noticed any difference in the Stainless Steel barrel vice the Blued barrel? As in quality or if one shoots better that the other? Just curious if there is a difference. Looking forward to the opinion of everyone.

I’ve got multiple omegas..from the cheap z5 to the fully fluted stainless barrels and the hard to find x7 and dream season..none of them are picky and all shoot very well

X7 is engraved into the barrel..it has special fluting, a smaller profile, laminate stock, 24” barrel. You can tell right away

Yea it’s on the top..the section of barrel from the breech plug forward a few inches is fluted. The x7 is hard to miss when compared to other omegas

I've noticed a difference between blued and stainless barrels. Now these weren't Omegas, Black Diamonds and Firehawks, but still T/C's.
The stainless barrels were:
Easier to clean. Significantly so.
At least as accurate and in several, especially my stainless Firehawk, more accurate.
I used to have a prejudice about stainless muzzleloader barrels.
Not anymore! Now I just consider them " National Armoury Bright"

Some of the action blocks are welded and some are in a dovetail. Is there any difference in these? Other than that.

Probably not. I have a couple of each and don’t see any major difference.

The welded lugs never come loose. The non-welded lugs come loose from time to time, and need to be retightened using loctite. Required is a T8 driver, and trigger removal.
