I just got my order from farrowtech yesterday. I ordered the grip/adapter, the buffer tube and brace for $155 which includes 2-3 day shipping. It fits pretty well, and gives the optima a great steady feel.

Recently acquired a new Optima V2 pistol with the black grips from muzzle-loaders.com. How do I remove the pistol (hand) grip properly in case I wanted to clean underneath, or install a different grip if I could find one?

Just remove the bolt visible from the bottom of the grip and the grip slides right off.
Thank you Sir. The head of the bolt was a little odd looking with some markings, so I didn't think it was a standard hex-head. But a 6mm Allen wrench did the trick.

The stock is the kit from farrowtech. It includes the grip/adapter, the buffer tube and an ar style brace for $155. The scope is a 4x Bushnell red dot.
Oops, i meant the scope. I have the FarrowTech setup on mine and want to try dif sights. I want something smaller than a pistol scope. How do youlike the 4x dot?

Technically it's not an SBR because it's a muzzleloader, so it doesn't fall under the federal firearms laws that would apply to a CF gun. But check your state and local laws before you do it to your ML pistol.
The legal part I already know. One of my own rifles only has 13 inches of barrel. Why not just buy the rifle and shorten the barrel?IMG_20210703_171635_01.jpg

Mine was not a Bushnell , but Vortex Viper bought two /sold both back to scopes . Got tired of looking for the dot ,and with the AR stock need scope for the long (not pistol yardage) it is capable of with even crappy eye sight . Just an opinion based on performance with my gun /Ed

Which scope are you using? Im having trouble finding a scope withthe right eye relief for me, theyre either too much or too little

I was mistaken, it's actually a 1x32 Bushnell trophy. I've only used it for target shooting so far, but I'm pretty happy with it. It has the T reticle with a dot in the middle. I got it for the unlimited eye relief because I wasn't aware of the farrowtech kit and intended to use it as a pistol. I may upgrade next year depending on how this one holds up and how I do with the low magnification.

Update on the 1x32 Bushnell red dot, it sucks lol. It fine for the range but not the deer woods. I decided to upgrade to a 2-7x32 vortex crossfire scout scope. I had to make a recoil pad to get the eye relief right but Im much happier.

@michiganmuzzy I just used some heavy duty black foam I had laying around. A little carving, gorilla tape, and electrical tape and I have a decent recoil pad haha. The sims slip on recoil pad may work too. I had to sight in with the new scope so I just made one quick.
