Ok. First things first. I HATE the sights. Give me a good set of Patridge sights any day.
The load is a Hornady .490 ball, 70 grains of 3f Swiss a .010 patch lubed with bore butter.
She badly cut the first 5 patches, which load tighter than the do in my Renegade. This rifle was previously unfired.
The next 5 patches were very nice and gave a 2 inch 50 yard group. 3 of which cut holes. I swabbed with bore butter patches between shots.
Recoil was a non issue. Ignition was very quick. Fouling was light as was blast and barrel heat. Clean up was almost stainless quick.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this one. Got a bunch of interest from others at the range.
Once she's broken in, say maybe 100 balls, we'll see how she really does. Something tells me she'll be a hole cutter...
