Powder charge is 80 grain Blackhorn. Distance between rifle, and bottles is 25 yard.

Bullet was caught by the third bottle. The first bottle was destroyed, and tossed about twenty feet. Second bottle was destroyed, and tossed about 10 feet. The fourth, fifth, and sixth bottle were undamaged.

Bullet weighs 254.7 grain.

Bullet was sized to fit between the lands of the rifle; it stayed same size over night. Powder charge of 80 grain Blackhorn was enough to have the bullet obturate. Rifling is nicely engraved in bullet.

What caliber is that, is it 50 or 45 I would really like to try it in a Sabot that is about as good a deer hammer as your gonna find I really like your boolit reports keep em going

Hawks IIRC uses soft copper for jackets instead of guilding metal and soft/softer lead cores. I think i still have a couple boxes of his spire points. Quality of his spire points leaves something to be desired. They are not very uniform. The box of 40cal 225gr HPs were much better looking.

Pretty sure its his .452 ML bullet. He has an even larger selection in CF and many of those will work also.
