I agree with this sentiment though many bullet/sabot combos work well. I now shoot full bore lead when hunting. I also hunt in thick cover and shots are close. Like 30 or 40 yards. Never shot a deer further than 75yds with a ML.

And I just got a delivery from Midway of this bullet. They were low stock/backordered but just came in. Go get 'em. Let me know how they work for you!

I have the same gun. The TC 350gr maxi fits ok and shoots ok but the Hornady Great Plains 385gr bullet fits much tighter and shoots much better in my Gun. Late ML season in NY. Last Day.

Shot her on the last day of ml season in New York. 50 cal Lyman Deerstalker, Williams peep sight using a Hornady 385gr Great Plains bullet.

They shoot great out of my 45 cal Accura but I have'nt taken anything with them yet.

Re: triger pull Ha, ha...funny (and true) ! :wink: I replaced the hammer spring also when I did mine. Did you try that as well? It works good (though it is a bit tough to pull back).
