Any more when I buy a new barrel I scope it first. I recently bought a 1911 threaded Swenson bbl from MidwayUSA . In efforts to try a can.
While I know it it is a “ value “ grade barrel I wasn’t expecting the POS I received. It looked internally like a hammer and chisel made the rifling.
Awful. And yet the misleading description on Midway’s page says” surface finish of 16 micro or better.” . More like 16 grit. IMO.
Really disappointed by the total lack of quality.
In summary I suppose I got what I Paid for. yuck.
The attached pic’s don’t begin to show the entirety of the issue.
BTW, The same thing happened recently on a .223 / 24” SS barrel I recently received. Manufacturer made good on it though.
