I must be getting senile, I thought I asked this question last night... I see that some of you guys have experience with the 45 cal disc elite. How was the accuracy compared to the 50? Is it flatter shooting and what about performance on game? Why do you think the 45 is fading out, is the 50 that much better? I look forward to your advice, Thanks!

All I shoot are 45cal Disc Elites (3ea). They are a super accurate, and are NOT picky with loads.

I think 45's are every bit as good as 50cal's  Never lost a deer yet 8) You can use lighter loads=Less powder 45's are fading out cause demand has dwindled, and it's more cost effective for manufacture's to just turn-out single caliber rifles.

Best loads are:
200g Shockwave/SST and 90-120g of powder-MOA (Blazing, Blistering, Deer droppingest load I've shot so far :D)

200g 10mm/40cal XTP with MMP Tan or Crushed Rib blue sabots-MOA

195 QT PRBullet, MMP tan sabot, 80-120gpowder--Sub MOA

275-300g powerbelt with 60-70g powder--1.5inch

195 Deadcenter 357/45cal with 80-120g powder--Sub MOA

Can shoot a .360(70g) round ball using a 357 PR sabot and 150g powder at 2850fps into 1.5 inch groups at 75yards  8)

Can shoot the same round ball load above with 15g powder(small game load) into 1inch groups at 50yards 8)

Not to mention that UnderClocked gets almost one-hole groups with conicals and 70g of T7 8)
