I see Harvester makes a sabot for a .475 bullet and Gold dot has a .475 HP. Just wondering if anybody tried this. That has to be a real thin sabot.

I tried making some .475 bullets shoot, I have been able to get my Omega and Triumph to shoot most things reasonably well but I could not find a way to even keep these on a 8x 11 target I had to go to a 36x36 and then nothing I did would make them give me any kind of a group.
If any one has ever made these work well I never heard about it. Lee

I will have to check my notes, but I thought I got them to shoot fine out of an MK-85 using 90 gr of ffg T7 and Remington #11 cap. I was using the Hornady 325 gr XTP Mag. Yes the sabot is pretty thin and I usually lost a petal or two from each retrieved sabot.
