I was tooling around CVA’a site and noticed they have some blemished guns at a deep discount. I called them and inquired what blemished actually was. I felt reassured there may be something cosmetic but nothing functional. With my military discount I paid $276 with free shipping. Not a bad deal for a rifle with a scratch! I picked up my BH 209 breach plug today so it’s just matter of time. I have nice Zeiss 3x9 waiting on it.

Awesome! Can you post your load development info here as you do it?

I'm a couple months into my Accura V2 LR!

Congrats on the purchase and thanks for your service!

I’m going to start off with 90gr of BH 209 pushing a Parker Bullet 275gr BE. That should be a pretty good combo.

Good score. I saw that deal around black Friday when I was looking for an Accura MR, the lack of detail of what the blemish was turned me off. Ended up getting the stainless / camo thumb hole Optima package on the same page to use as bad weather hunting rig. The sale price plus the 15% off coupon was too good of a deal to pass up.

I recently purchased an Accura . My go to hunting load is a 300 gr Deep Curl and a Harvester Crushrib sabot, pushed with 77 gr w of Blackhorn.

The Accura rifles are not picky and will shoot almost any good bullet well if paired with the right sabot and powder load. 100-110 grof BH209 works well for most loads with 110 gr seemingly the sweet spot for most hunting loads. The CVAs like a firm sabot/bullet fit. Not so excessively tight to be difficult to load but requiring some firm pressure to load. In 3 different CVA rifles, with most bullets, I had best results with smooth sabots over the crush rib sabots. There were some exceptions. The attached photo will give you some ideas for a starting point. These aren't the only loads that will shoot well but were 5 of my favorites. 110 gr BH209 was used for all loads. 5 shots each target. 100 yd range. Chronograph data included.

Left to right: Hornady .45 300 gn SST & Harvester short smooth black sabot 1790 fps, CEB .44 250 gn Maximus & Harvester smooth green sabot 1945 fps, Parker .45 275 gn BE & Harvester red crush rib sabot 1864 fps, Hornady .429 265 gn FTX & Harvester smooth green sabot 1857 fps, Hornady .458 250 gn Monoflex & MMP orange HPH sabot 1908 fps

I just ordered some of the new No Excuses 250gr Sabots for this gun. Preliminary reports say these bullets are shooting well over 90gr of BH 209.

That's a great call. I was shooting the 300g Hornady SST Low Drag over 80g BH209 and 112g Pyrodex well and just got a good selection of No Excuses and so far tested with excellent groups the 300g No Excuses sabot.
