Bkoken Sear spring

So I took my CVA Mountain rifle to the range today.
However I only got to fire one round and the dear spring broke
I see that Deer Creek has them in stock.
Mine is the older style V shape, will the new style U shape work.
I ask because the U shape seems less likely to brake.
