cva optima pro

i just purchased a new optima pro in 50 cal. does anyone have this gun? and can help me with what combination this gun likes to shoot to get me started.

Had the optima.

295-348gr Powerbelts with 80gr pyrodex RS or 70gr pyrodex P did awesome.

Sabots-

240gr XTP, 300gr XTP, 250gr barnes expanders all did awesome in a short black mmp-12 sabot with 100gr pyrodex P.

Winchester W209 primers did great as well.

I would try 100 grains of powder with a 300 grain Hornady HP/XTP. This combination in my .50 Optima is extremely accurate.

I just got my Optima. I got 245gr Powerbelt bullets and was planning on using 100gr of Pyrodex. Will this be too much *boom* for this bullet?

Yeah, drop it down to 80gr.

My optima pro likes hornady xtp 300 grain .430 with the green hornady sabots pushed by 90 grains (volume) of blackhorn 209.
