CVA Wolf breech/breech plug issue

Took my new CVA Wolf out for the fist time. On my third shot (after cleaning after every shot) the breech plug wont screw into the breech. It only screws about one half rotation.

There are no obstructions, i've cleaned all parts and still no luck.

Any ideas on what the issue could be?

Think it may have started crooked and now it is cross threaded. You can contact CVA and they will advise.

I would say to use a damp cloth and clean the threads in the breech really well. Same with the breech plug. Lube up the breech plug threads and try to reinstall it.

Only a half turn means you’re cross threaded.

yeah sounds like a crossed thread.

The good news if it’s cross threaded, it’s either the first thread on the breech plug or the first thread in the breech itself. A new breech plug might fix it, or you may be able to use a thread file and clean it up. If it’s in the breech you might be able to just run a tap in and fix it. I would do what HC suggested and contactCVA before you try anything and mess up your warranty.
