Just an FYI: time per shot for ML in competition is 3 minutes/shot.
Question: What heats a barrel more rapidly? (obviously it would take a few shots to determine)
1) 120gr powder charge and a 250-300gr projectile
OR
2) 75gr powder charge with a 500gr +/- projectile
It stands to reason the Blackhorn load will produce more heat, because there is a way more of it; 120g◄►75g. Not only that, each grain of Blackhorn has more energy than each grain of Black. That's why equivalent Blackhorn loads are 70 %, is it not?
Wouldn't it be weird if 120g of powder produced less heat than 75g of powder? ☺
