Very nice deer, thanks for sharing.

Can someone explain the “smokeless” part to me. When I shoot, the world disappears in a cloud of smoke.

Some guns are capable of handling light smokeless powder charges, with smokeless meaning the powder used in centerfire cartridges. These guns are specifically built to handle that kind of powder and the pressures they generate, so no one should ever load smokeless powder into a gun marked or otherwise designated to shoot black powder or subs only.

Good looking buck and nice looking gun as well. I was fortunate enough during 1st gun season to harvest a decent 10pt with my new custom smokeless. Looking to harvest a few more in the last month between IL and IA. Good luck in the future.
