This was my first time shooting BH209. i was really impressed and so was the other guys at the range. Im always surprised more people dont know about this powder. well i started off with 80 gr and then moved up to 90gr with a 300gr xtp. Do you think that is pushing that bullet fast enough? This was the last target i was shooting at and i have a flyer in thier but other than that the rifle is ready to go hunting. I shot over 25 times with no hangfires or swabing. this is what i use
Knight extreme
Burris fullfield 2x7 scope
.44cal 300gr hornady xtp
Harvester crush rib sabot .430
winchester w209
Blackhorn 209 90gr

Good shootin! That is definatley more than enough powder for hunting. For elk this year, I used 90 gr of BH 209 and a 350 gr bullet, so your set up is great.

It sounds like a good load to me. I am sure it will serve you well. That is some great shooting there.
