Has anyone experimented with high BC bullets and BP?

Curious if you guys have messed with long skinny bullets in double sabots to see if you could improve trajectory at T7 or Pyro speeds and loads. Anybody lend some experise on whether there's much to gain there. I'm guessing that the bullet choices will be limited and not perform really well at low velocities but it would be nice if we knock a few more inches off the trajectory just for fun...thanks and Happy New Year,
Steve

From what I have read, the guys with Savage smokless rifles sometimes use smaller bullets with 2 sabots (I believe this is referred to as a duplex load, though perhaps they use two types of powder - not sure).
Seems like maybe someone else has, too, maybe Sabotloader. I know some use a 10mm bullet with thick sabot.
I use a longer bullet, but it's not skinny. I use a 465 grain lead conical; works great, but not what you'd call a flat-shooter :)
