Howdy Yall,
Been shooting black powder for a few years. Retired Army. Got tired of plastic guns. Came on here to get some more edumacation. I do most of my hunting with black powder. I own a Tip Curtis smooth bore flinter in 54 for deer and squirrels. Mr. Curtis lived a few miles down the road from me. Wish I had met him sooner. Pedersoli Ky flintlock rifle and pistol got me started. Pietta 1851 Navy for carrying in the field and a Ruger old army.
Bagged a few doe this year with the 54 and 45. Muzzleloader season is over for me in the am . Will try to get my buck and another doe with my bow.
Like I said I'm here for the wisdom. Mostly a lurker but will ask a few questions every now and again. Interested in learning more about my scattergun. I'm loading 3/4 ounce 71/2 shot over 50 grain ffg. Seems to work so far but curious if anybody has better ideas. Might try to bag a turkey in the spring.
Thanks to all.
