I can only dream of seeing one like that... 30+yrs of hunting hard through all seasons, and never seen one even close to that size. Nobody I know has.

It only took me 25 yrs to get one like this. Something always went wrong. And there are a lot of things that can go wrong.

That is a real fine buck there. I saw one deer in my life so far that was of that kind of quality. But the only shot I had on him was the back of his head. So I waited and waited, hoping he'd step out broadside. Well he didn't. But it was still a thrill to see something like that not more then 30 yards away.

He's a beauty. And you sure are right, a lot can go wrong. Saw the best buck in 20 years last season, and I couldn't close the deal.
