Looking to put scope on my cva accura v2 .50 caliber. I’m shooting 110 grains triple 7 powder and horndy 250 grain sst sabots. I really like the cds system Leupold has going. Who is using a cds scope on their muzzleloader? Does it work better than say the vx freedom ultimate slam s.a.b.r.e reticle?

I have used one for years on my LHR 50 cal and it’s been great. I can dial out to 300 yards with it and it returns to zero pretty well. Mind you it’s not perfect, I have dialed up and down shooting one shot at each setting to see how it groups and my groups did open up doing this. Mine is the VX2 3-9x40 cds, but I’m going to try a VX3 HD 2.5-8x36 on my Patriot .45 since the GPO didn’t hold up too well.
