In need of some good reading material? Heres a few authors I love to read.

I first started with the book Flintlock, by John Legg. Great book and his Forts of freedom series have been great so far, even though I am only 77 pages into the first book, War at Bent's fort.

Those of you that want a great series to read over and over and collect, That David Thompson "Wilderness" series I put #1 is the best I've come across to date. They are easy to read without the silliness other authors can sometimes make up in books.

Most of the series can be bought on Amazon for a penny to $3.00.

Keep in mind these are tall tales, and not historic. Entertainment.

I started collecting a second series of Wilderness, the first 20 cost me $85 shipped. I've seen the entire collection sell for over $600 but some of these are now out of print.

either amazon or ebay. I always buy the better condition books since i read so much. Worn books just fall apart on me after a while.

I've been lucky. I've bought a mess of books on Amazon for $.01 and $3.99 shipping that looked brand new when I got them. Still stiff like they've never been opened.

I'm sure one of theses days i'll get one that looks like it went through the washing machine.

I tell you though, the books like John Legg are really damn good! War at Bents fort is extremely good.
