It works on Pietta .44s. It's a bit small for an ROA and maybe (not sure) a Remington 1858.

It can be manually manipulated to fit the Ruger cylinder but you have to press each ram outward (flare them) for it to work. The only real advantage on the Ruger is the same pressure is applied to all 6 chambers.
It works slick on an 1860 Pietta or a .44 model 51.

I've had mine for a couple of months but forget to use it much. :scratch:
 
I have one for the 1860 Army and one for the 1851 Navy.
You have to line the press up with the chambers and make certain it stays there, but they do work OK.
