New guy from Iowa

Hey guys-

Been doing quite a bit of research lately on a new muzzleloader, and stumbled on this site and have spent plenty of hours reading already, so I decided to join so I could learn more and ask my own questions..

From southeast Iowa and love big whitetails, but hunt just about everything I can. 80% of my hunting is done with archery equipment, but I really enjoy hunting with and shooting muzzleloaders as well.

Welcome. Muzzle-Loaders can open up a season less busy than those with more modern firearms. That said I even prefer my M-L over a modern slug gun. Some people get a little hung up on speedy follow up shots. Just put that 1st shot where it needs to be and no reason to fret.
