Poured footings on my new shop on Tuesday.. Started setting stem wall forms today. Hopefully pour those on Monday. 40x50x10 steel building will be delivered on 11/20.
It will be nice to finally have all my stuff at my house, in my shoo, instead of renting.

Man, the beauty of country living. Now me, I'd take about a 20X20 foot corner where the service door is going to be located and put in an insulated shop with a heater and keep the other large area for equipment storage. You may not get that cold in the winter months but here in Minnesota heat is a must and I guess I don't see a need to keep equipment heated but my shop sure is.

Now you have more room for additional muzzle loaders. :D
That's an even better idea. Judging by the picture you could even cut in an access door so you could shoot off a bench inside where you're comfy, straight out thru the access into the target set well away from the building. Heck, make a food plot out there at 100 yards and hunt right out of the side of the building. Where you're comfy of course.:elmer:

Stem wall forms are set up, finished them up in the headlights. Just need to put some stiffeners in the middle and straighten them. Inspection Monday morning, concrete on Tuesday at 1:30

Started unloading the building at 8:30 this morning. Got this far today! The main support and both end walls are set, all the girts are in place and a couple of the roof purlins. Not bad for a days work. It was a cold windy bugger all day, or we might have gotten farther.

With the price of wood these days, I had no other choice, unless I waited for lumber to MAYBE come down in price. The metal building was only $22,000 with the insulation package.

It’s gonna be NICE Stacey!! :lewis: I personally would prefer Metal over Wood, The Lumber you get these days is mostly JUNK, Full of Knots, Etc.

I think the damn wind is gonna hold me up now. That insulation is in wide, long, rolls that isn’t going to stay put long enough to get a panel screwed down over it.

Is there an overhead door in the building for access to pouring concrete. If not you may want to pure the floor first.
Yes. I have two side by side on the front. I’ll have to pump it but, that’s ok. It’ll be somewhat warm inside.
