Just obtained my first Muzzleloader today, a Traditions Evolution Tracker. Got it in a trade. Guy had problems with it, got home and cleaned it for 2 hours! New to this BP thing, but thinking gunk was the problem! Gonna go try it tomorrow. Super excited!

Welcome to the site. Glad you found us. :yeah: Check out the "New to Muzzleloading" Forum here. There is lots of Great into in the Stickies at the top.
A Muzzleloader is not a weapon for the impatient. You must take care of them and not "Put Off" the cleaning part. Lots of great ML's ruined that way. Gunk is a big cause of Mis-fires and fail to fires as well as rust pitting. Hope you are able to save the rifle and get it shooting again.
