I agree with you 100%. Tobys whole site has become a giant advertising for knight, and the other products, but so have many others this one included.
I've written Toby when i disagreed with him and he has graciously replied.
It seems to me just about every site has developed into marketing rather than informational sites.
That's why I added my own experience. I've shot a Savage ML 10 for about 8 years so my encores and cva's are not performing at that level--2200-2400 ft. per second.
But I would say his data is fairly close to my experience.

He's put out reports of exploding Savage ML- the one which was his own that he had used duplex loads and loads beyond recommended loads in. He got shot down for a lot of information about his experience with Savage arms.

Another controversial person who evaluates ml products--http://randywakeman.com/bh209.htm

His article is at --

A great site for comparisons is http://www.chuckhawks.com/index2h.muzzleloader.htm

Cross check these guys against Toby B and you'll find good information-a lot better than on some sites on the web.
And I repeat-I agree with you 100%.

One final site to get great information --http://dougsmessageboards.proboards.com/index.cgi people just like us pushing the envelope or solving problems and sharing information.

Nothing wrong with making a buck if you take his info for what it is.

I have to chuckle a bit that all his kills are long distance. Can't he get any closer? :clown:
