Just received an email from the head of the outdoor range I belong to in Colorado. The county has shut down the range until further notice due to the extremely high fire danger.

After an analysis of the site of the start of a fire in Colorado last year, it was thought to have begun by people shooting tracer rounds. Since then, people have been on edge.

cant blame them. We even stopped shooting on our property out of fear if sparks. Just to damn dry and not worth the risk.
