Taking my collecting in another direction and offering up a relatively rare mil-surp for sale.
Have a Peabody Military Rifle for sale, this is a post civil war rifle which was designed to take a metallic black powder cartridges, issued to the State of Connecticut for its militia, they were all supposed to be rechambered to 45-70 in 1877, this one appears to have missed that appointment and it mics out to still be in .43 Spanish. Overall the gun is fine excellent shape, the metal has a fine patina, the wood is in good shape with normal dings of a gun of this era and the bore appears to be absolutely mint. I'm selling this with the accessories I have for it including an original Peabody bayonet as well as brass, cast lead bullets and dies to reload for .43 Spanish. A very cool gun that uses the Peabody Action which uses the trigger guard as a lever to load and eject, which was later refined for the Martini Henry style of action.
All in I'm asking $1800 for a really nice rifle.
