Pew pew... vacuum sealing primers and powder?

This should last a minute! Has anyone tried vacuum sealing primers and powder?

No, but in my opinion it would be better to seal them with a desiccant and in nitrogen.

Throw a handfull of rice (or legit desicant silica) in there and, you betcha, itll last a while. But i think if you just keep it sealed and cool itll be fine too.

I vacuum seal primers. Out of need due to quantity on hand.

Humidity (moisture) is the enemy of anything that goes bang. If you use rice, put it in a spice sachet bag (used for cooking) and place it in all previously opened containers. Never store any gun powder where you have drastic temperature changes that can cause condensation.

My basement workshop has a dehumidifier in it. It never varies much from 65°f and 60% humidity year round. That works perfect for powder and primer storage.

Same here MM on humidifier / basement conditions. Just happen to be a good area to keep beer & wine too I’ve found. LOL

I drop a desiccant pack right in the plastic jug of goes or trip 7 right after I open it. Bought a bag of 500 a long time ago for something so now you know I got to use em.

Lost a whole box of 777's due to humidity. Now I just buy a new box every year. Not worth the risk of a miss fire

I do. Although it’s probably overkill where I live. Low relative humidity year round means primers and powder should last virtually forever here but when I lived back East I got used to vac sealing everything I intended for long term storag... old habits and all...
