You've heard of "Chicken of the Sea", well this is "Chicken of the Tree".
In Costa Rica they call iguanas "pollo arbol" because they taste like chicken .. or better. South Florida is ideal iguana habitat but the residents don't like the whitewash job they do on everything.

One year when my wife and I were in Puerto Viejo, C.R., 3 guys got an iguana out of an 80' tree. One guy climbed it with a pole loop and got it around the neck. He threw the pole and iguana down and another guy and his son grabbed it and had it trussed, gutted, and a fire going before the climber got back to the ground.
They cooked that sucker and chowed down. They called it 'pollo arbol'. Yum yum!
