Been looking to get one for a while, so far muzzleloader.com has the lowest price I've found at $439. Anyone else finding a better price anywhere else? Potential black Friday deals coming up? Thanks in advance.

It's hard to beat Muzzle-Loaders because of their cheap shipping. Plus, really good service.

I bought my Accura LR on the CVA website directly and saved some dollars with their web special on the nitride finish and fore end grip. It is still $449.

The cheapest nitride mountain rifle on CVA's website is around $500. They do have a bare stainless steel one with a scope in the $450 range but if I'm going to spend the cash I'd rather have the nitride treatment.

I see you are talking the camo or black with nitride. Just be aware, muzzle-loaders charges tax at time of purchase for the following. I think they offer $5 flat rate shipping?

"Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax will be charged for deliveries in the US states listed below. The shipping address determines the rate, which is based on state and local tax for the area. If you're a tax exempt business please call 1-855-236-5000.

If you are a veteran, CVA offers a 20% military discount that you can use any day of the year, once per year for your purchase.

https://cva.com/military-discount/

They offer the black stock nitride model for $493.50, minus $98.70 for the 20% military discount = $394.80 final price. Not sure what their shipping costs?

Buds has the Max1 camo and Nitride for $439.

$425 and ships free but its a LR and not a MR.

$439 for a MR in either black/nitride or camo/nitride. Plus $5 shipping.

Buds has the PR version ( a MR with a 28" barrel) for $419) black/nitride

Or the MR in camo/nitride for $439 or black/nitride for $406. No idea what they charge to ship though.

$406 is the cheapest i can find atm but i have seen them cheaper during after season sales.

I still say Muzzle-Loaders is the best bet. They bend over backward to please the customers. There's more to buying a gun than the price.

For me that would be an additional $18.50 in state sales tax from them. Now, if they would match Bud's price i would do it just because they do have a good reputation.

I'd talk to them and see if they'll price match. I'm lucky and don't get tax and they always give me free shipping. That's because i'm so lovable.

I hear you laughing.

What would make me laugh is if i changed your avatar back to that bucktoothed hound pic :D

Scratch that...this one is better :D

I forgot about that dog. Can you put him in my avatar? I don't even have that picture anymore. Photobucket has all my pics and I refuse to pay them to get them back.

You dont have to pay anymore for Photobucket but they put a big water mark on hosted pics.

Here you go. Save it and crop out the one you want. Resize to a maximum dimensions; width: 140 pixels, height: 140 pixels, file size: 44.00kb.

The one on the left is what I had. Could you crop it for me? I'm not good at pictures.

The original realtree camo Accura from muzzle-loader.com seems to be calling my name. Getting a strange retro vibe from it I cannot explain and haven't seen it offered anywhere else. Unless someone comes up with a crazy black Friday deal that's the way I'm leaning.

I'm stuck on the mountain rifle. Of the rifles in my signature I always end up hunting with my Buckstalker but it's bore is wasted and needs retired. Between bad weather and long hikes on public land I neither want to carry the weight or length of my other options let alone risk damaging mint condition $1k rifles.

I'm not sure you're aware but the Accura MR is scope only. The comb is too high for normal open sights.

I’m also looking at the old school Realtree version. 20% military discount and free shipping is just a tad over $400.
