Stop Giggling... I am talking about ML's here...

I have read the book and they talk about neutralizing the powder with water and pulling the sabot out with a puller...

what about pulling the breech plug and letting the powder pellets (T7) fall out and push the sabout out of the breech???

I can assume this works and they can be re-used, or am I incorrect?

 I was a little concerned there at first.. :D

In Traditional Rifles, yes you need a ball puller. And although you do not have to kill the charge, for safety reasons it is a good idea...

In an inline just remove the breech plug. The powder will fall out the back of the breech. The with a field range rod or a wooden dowel you can push the sabot and bullet out through the muzzle. The sabot is no good, the bullet can be used again.

Then take a patch with some isopropyl alcohol on it and swab the barrel clean. Pay special attention to the breech threads. Then a dry patch or two, and finally an oiled patch.. re grease the breech plug and put the rifle back together again...
