Just curious if as anyone has tried shooting a projectile with Reenactor grade real black powder? Would it be safe to test with PRBs and light loads?

Should add that on certain subjects, I will sometimes log onto and be searching both MML and TMF at the same time.

If I can't find the answer in these two forums, it may not be on the internet yet, and still resides in some obscure printed material.

For example: I've been trying to "re-find" info I read 30+ years ago about a gunsmith in the late flintlock era who experimented with a compressed air (diesel) ignition system for MLs. The invention of Rev. Forsyth's fulminates eclipsed this "firepiston lock" before it could be developed.
